On Sunday, July 31, 2005, the First Missionary Baptist Church of Moody, Alabama unanimously affirmed William Vincent Curtis as our next Pastor.
Pastor Curtis is married to Monica and they two children, Vincent (CJ) Curtis, II (Age 19) and Hunter Curtis (Age 15). Pastor Curtis was also a
volunteer with Big Brother Big Sister of Alabama, where he is a big brother to Orlando Bloodworth. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity, Inc. Omicron Lambda Chapter.
Under the leadership of Pastor Curtis, First Missionary Baptist Church has established ministries that are serving the body of Christ both internal
and external. Under his leadership, FMBC has also constructed a new fellowship hall and repurposed its old fellowship hall.
Prior to coming to FMBC Pastor Curtis served as an Associate Minister at Saint Joseph Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL under the
tutelage of the late Dr. Abraham L. Woods, Jr. At Saint Joseph, Pastor Curtis also served as Youth Basketball coach, Sunday School teacher,
Computer Instructor, and Step Team Director. Pastor Curtis is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received a
Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He grew up in Selma, AL where he attended the New Shiloh Baptist Church, Potter Station, under the
leadership of Rev. Dan Moore. Pastor Curtis is the son of Elizabeth Allen and has one sister Latifah Allen. Much of what Pastor Curtis has become,
he credits his late grandparents Robert and Annie Curtis.
